   2. VP/Programming (Mynan G.) –Linda Wiggins gave a talk on Perceptual Illusion. She gave hand outs and showed quilts and vests to illustrate dimensional techniques for quilts and quilted items.
   3. Secretary (Becky F.) –minutes sent out.
   4. Historian/Blog site (Marilyn H.) –having trouble getting all steps of mystery quilt on blog.
   5. Unfinished Projects (UFOs – Kathy S.) –absent. Still owe Karen W. two prizes, Mynan had two UFOs, and Betty B. had one.
   6. Tabs (Cheryl A.) –Pam T. brought some in.

   9. Quilt Show (SSQG membership): We will hang quilts July 29^th and take down day will be August 31^st. Demo day is August 19^th. Registration forms and quilts due Thursday July 20^th. Marilyn will put notice up on facebook page for Baton Rouge quilters. Becky will put flyer up at Quilt Corner and put notice in Country Roads.

5. Unfinished Business: none
6. New business: Sharon’s quilt – Kits for embroidery blocks given out. Due by August 17^th. Nine patch blocks will be sewn Sat July 22^nd (correction: Sat 29^th while we set up for the show). Rows will be sewn together Saturday Sept 23^rd at the library from 10:00 until we are finished.
7. Show and Tell- Betty B. showed a striped wall hanging. Pam T. showed a charity quilt of Olivia the Pig (needs label). Karen showed the quilts that she is putting in the quilt show. Elsie showed her completed mystery quilt top.

July Meeting -- 7/20/17

Good morning everyone. 

Our meeting Thursday is the last one before our show. Please bring all of your quilts and other entries for the show. Once again we will be doing some of the displays in cases so bring any items that will show off our craft. Old spools, examples of hand work, signs and mementos.  We will do as many cases as we have items to fill. On Saturday the 29th we will hang our show. At our meeting we will discuss meeting on this Sat or Sun to layout the placement plans.
