1. President/Call to order (Pam T. in for Sharon H.) – meeting at Jones Creek Library – 6:34 p.m.

2. Sign In, Welcome to Members and Guests – Guests present: none. Members present: Linda Lala D., Cheryl M., Merlene L., Marilyn H., Karen W., Becky E., Pam T., and Betty Braud.


3. Reading of the minutes and motion to accept – (Cheryl M.)

4. Reports of officers and committees

a) Treasurer’s report (Marilyn H.) –

b) VP/Programming (Pam T.) – Future programs: December – Christmas Party. January – Cindy Sullivan, Apliquick method for needle turn applique.


c) Secretary (Cheryl M.) – Shared experience from GSQA class with Emily Taylor.


d) Historian / Blog site (Marilyn H.) – Shared a thank you letter from Cancer Services.


e) Unfinished Projects (UFOs – Valerie K.) – There were none this month.


f) Tabs (Cheryl M.) – none this month


g) Door Prizes (Valerie K.) – Karen W., Merlene L., and Cheryl M. Prizes to come in December.


h) Just Do It (Pam T.) – Crochet Rag Rugs, date TBD


i) Quilt Show (SSQG membership) – N/A


j) Charity Quilts (Merlene L. & Karen W.) – Collecting quilts for April delivery. We still have a lot of bear skins and fiber fill.

7. New Business – The positions of President and Vice-President were still unfilled. After much discussion, a motion was brought forth by Marilyn H. to disband the guild in accordance with the bylaws. The motion was seconded by Becky E., and was accepted by all members present. It was decided that we would continue on as Sassi Stripper Stitchers, a quilting/crafting social group. A motion was brought forth by Becky E. that our existing funds should be used to purchase batting, backing material, and fiber fill for our current charities in accordance with the bylaws. The motion was seconded by Marilyn H. and accepted by the members present. The current charities are Cancer Services and Our Lady of the Lake Children’s Hospital. Merlene and Pam will purchase the supplies mentioned in the motion.


8. Announcements –

a) The Christmas party will be at City Café, Thursday, December 8 at 6 pm. Bring $15 wrapped gift for gift exchange if you would like to participate
