1. President/Call to order (Pam T. – Vice President) – meeting at Jones Creek Library – 6:30 p.m.

2. Sign In, Welcome to Members and Guests – Guests present: Andrea Goettert. Members present: Merlene L., Marilyn H., Valerie K., Betty B., Monnette M., Linda Lala D., Karen W., and Pam T.

10. Charity Quilts (Merlene L. & Karen W.) – Deliveries: OLOL Children’s Hospital – burp clothes, 20 quilts, 50 bears; Cancer Services – 20 quilts, 50 bears

• Program - Karen W. – video and demo of binding tool, Pam T. – showed pictures and shared experience from her time at the Red Stick Rug Hook In and show.

5. Show and Tell – There was a lot of Show and Tell

6. New Business – Motion was made by Marilyn H. to buy one roll of batting and one bolt of muslin for our charity quilts. Motion seconded by Karen W.

May Meeting

 

Good evening ladies.

I am really looking forward to seeing you guys at our meeting on Thursday. I am exited to let you  know that our very talented quilting friend Judy Holly will be presenting our program. She will discuss fabric and quilts in her "sample Magic" presentation. If she has time and you bring some orphan blocks she will also show us how to put these random blocks in assorted sizes together. It should be a great evening.

We will of course do our regular stuff as well. Don't forget to bring show and tell.

April Charity Quilts including 9-Patch challenge blocks

 These quilts will be donated to Our Lady of the Lake Children's Hospital and Cancer Services of Baton Rouge.

April Meeting

 

Good morning ladies.

I just wanted to remind you of the Sassi Strippers meeting tomorrow 4/21 at the Jones Creek Library at 6:30 PM.  We will see a great tool for completing binding. In addition, Pam will tell us all about her retreat in Natchitoches and the ladies who were able to attend the GSQA show in Slidell can fill us in. Pam will be in charge as I have to go to Virginia to my sister's wedding. I know everyone will have a great time.
