1. President/Call to order (Pam T) – 6:33pm
2. Sign In, Welcome to Members and Guests – 9 members attended along with 4 guests who 3
joined at the meeting: Janell C, Angie H & Elva H, we are very excited to have them with us.
3. Reading of the minutes and motion to accept –

4. Reports of officers and committees


a) Treasurer’s report (Elsie H) –

i. Beginning Balance: $1068.32
ii. Deposits: -0-
iii. Expenditures: $53.66 (2015 Quilt Show, ink & paper)
iv. Ending Balance: $1014.66
v. Motion to accept:

b) VP/Programming (Sharon H) - Speaker for May will be Sandra Guilbeaux, topic is Threadology.

 c) Secretary (Linda B) – Took the minutes for the meeting.

 d) Historian/Blog (Marilyn H) – Continues to post to the blog.

 e) Unfinished Projects / UFOs (Kathy S) – No UFO’s were shown. UFO’s are quilts that are

 started before December 31, 2015 & finished all the way to binding in the year 2016.

 f) Tabs (Betty B) – Tabs were collected

 g) Door Prizes (Rene H) – Winners of the door prizes were Katie K (Batiks), Angie H (Mystery)

 and Elsie H (Rainbows)

 h) Just Do It (Pam T) – We will be scheduling a road trip at the May meeting

 i) Quilt Show (SSQG membership) – Please continue to work on your quilts & bears.

 j) Charity Quilts (Merlene L & Cheryl A) – We will be scheduling a “Bear Sew Day”.

 7. Program – Debbi Kelly shared her love & talent of English Paper Piecing with the guild. She shared

 all of her projects she is currently working on. The members did some Hexagon

 English Paper Piecing after she did a demonstration. She gave a hand out full of tips &
 Knowledge on English Paper Piecing. A link for this is Faeries and Fibres  http://faeriesandfibres.blogspot.com/ , it’s simply  Fabulous! Everyone had a great time listening, participating, so much that we now  have some new EPP’s in the guild thanks to Debbi! There is a Hexiemail group, a New Hexagon-Millefiorie Quilt-Along group and a Glorious Hexagons group on

Facebook, just to name a few. There is an EPP group that meets @ Fairwood Library
once a month called Montage, everyone is welcome.

 8. Show and Tell – Marilyn H shared her Minion quilt she is going to put in the show, also her

 “Miniature quilt room” made by her sister & her storybook – Harry Potter Quilt.

 - Bonnie M shareed a Dream Catcher she made.

 - Valerie K – shared wool wall hanging.


 - Janell shared a spring, flowered quilt.
