June Show and Tell

June Meeting -- 6/21/2018

Good afternoon ladies,

Our next meeting is this Thursday night. We have a fun meeting planned. In addition to all of our regular stuff we will be seeing our Round Robin Challenge Quilts in their final stages and we are having a guest speaker. Tracy Gallagher, an amazing fiber artist, will do a trunk show of her art quilts, collages and other works.  I can't wait to see her work. We are also going to talk about our next meeting where we will be getting ready for our quilt show. We will bring blank forms for you to turn in with your quilts.

Also attached are the minutes from our May meeting. Please review them. 

Really looking forward to seeing all of you and your quilts as well as seeing the trunk show.

Karen won a William Morris in Applique book donated by Sharon.

8. Just Do It (Sharon H.) Suggestions were: Garden Song in Brookehaven after the end of May; Cotton Blossom in Mississippi possibly.
9. Quilt Show (SSQG membership): planning at June meeting
10. Charity Quilts (Merlene L. & Cheryl A.)- 8 charity quilts, 53 stuffed bears, 186 bear skins. We need more bear skins for August and February.
1. Unfinished Business: Veteran’s Home- Sharon checking on specific date to bring quilts.
2. New business: Sharon has a box of embroidery patterns from Lily Kraft to go through if anyone wants them. A note and pictures were sent to Mr. Kraft to show him what we have been making with his late wife’s material.
