Just Do It -- 9-Patch Challenge

In order to help Merlene and Karen create some charity quilts, guild members are challenged to make

9-patch blocks in pink/light or blue/light themes that are appropriate for children.  Start with 4.5"

squares or strips.  Final blocks will be 12.5" square (12" finished).   If possible, make 4 or 5 blocks

using the same or similar fabrics.

An example is below, but "you do you" with your fabric.

February Meeting

Happy Valentine's Day ladies. This Thursday we are having our February Meeting at the Jones Creek Library. Our theme for the night is "Show Your Love".  We will show that love by stuffing bears for Cancer Services and the Children's Hospital and  bringing a sweet to share with the group. Please let me know if anyone is interested in attending via zoom and we will set it up. Looking forward to seeing everyone. We have lots of bears to stuff and lots of stuffing. Hope everyone is well. Our thoughts are with Karol who is under the weather.

See you Thursday

I have attached the November 2021 minutes that Cheryl sent me.  If you see any changes that need to be made or corrections that need to be made,  just let us know.   I want to thank and Introduce your new SSQG Board Members for 2022,

November Meeting

Hello my talented beauties,

I hope everyone is enjoying the change in seasons and welcoming cooler days.   We are having our Sassi Strippers Quilt Guild meeting on November 18, 2021 @ 6:30pm at the Jones Creek Library.

I can’t tell you how thrilled I was with the amazing attendance at our October meeting!  It was such a great thing to see some sweet faces that we haven’t seen in awhile.

I want to thank Valerie K. for an incredible program in October, she was so thorough and even handed out detailed instructions as well.  I can’t wait to make my vinyl project pouch, everyone enjoyed it so much!!!  I would also like to thank Valerie K. for taking the minutes at the meeting.

I have attached Cheryl’s minutes below, please read over them & let us know if any changes or corrections are needed.

The November program, “Quilt as you go” Hexagons is going to be presented by our very talented, Karen W.  Fun, fun, fun!

We have quite a few things that we will be discussing, as well as voting on.  We will be meeting in person and will be on Zoom as well. Please bring your show n tell and come join me for some fun, creativity & fellowship!

Humbly yours,

Pam Tennyson
