I wish all of you talented beauties a belated "Happy Valentine's Day!"❤️ We have our Sassi Strippers Meeting on Thursday, February 19, 2015 @ 6:30pm at the Jones Creek Library. We have a jam packed night planned! We will be discussing a lot of topics & making decisions for the year. I have a lot of fun things planned for us in the year 2015. Please come to share your ideas & let your voice be heard. We have attended some fun events & will share those experiences with you as well. Please bring a needle, a spool of neutral color thread & a pair of scissor for our activity with our teddy bears! Elsie will be sharing two quilt tops that utilized her technique from her demo last month! Mynan will be sharing a technique with you for "bindings" this month! The "Quilt in a Box" will be moving on to the next phase, all blocks are due at the February meeting. All participants will be given their fabric boxes back & need to confirm their selection for block #12 that will be completed & turned in at the March meeting! Please bring any tabs you have collected to be given to Betty. Please bring anything you would be willing to donate for door prizes to be given to Renee. Last but not least, we all know how much we enjoy show & tell, so let's kick ours up a notch! I would like to encourage everyone to bring at least one or more items for show & tell. It can be new or old because we have new members that haven't seen your incredible work yet! So let's share, share, share!!! See you Thursday for for our time together of fun, creativity & fellowship!

volunteered to assist Merlene Lewis.
Details for this year’s charity quilts will be detailed at the next
meeting. There is some fabric left for
members to use.

demonstration on how make tube quilt blocks.

wonky tumbler block that involved sewing an odd shaped fabric piece on top of a
conventional square block. Thank you

think of ideas for programs for the upcoming year and present these ideas at
the next meeting. What do we wish to
see? Thread types and usages? More sewing demos? Hands on projects? Put your thinking caps on and let’s hear the
ideas!

SSQG meeting - Thurs 1/15/15
Hello to my talented beauties,
We will be kicking off our first "Sassi Strippers" meeting of 2015 on January 15th!🎉 It will be at the Jones Creek Library @ 6:30pm. I will ask everyone to make an extra effort to be there for this meeting. Please bring your $12.00 to pay your membership dues, Elsie will hand out the membership paperwork for you to fill out & give back to her at the meeting. Please think about what you would like to do or see in the year of 2015 & to share this with our members. We have such a talented group of ladies & I am honored to serve you this year. I am open to all ideas & suggestions you bring. My wish for Sassi Strippers this year is to further our craft, our creativity & our friendships! We will be wrapping up the "Quilt in the Box" in the beginning of 2015 & moving it into the second phase. Please bring your finished blocks & if you have any boxes as well to this meeting. I can't tell you how it still warms my heart that you all have enjoyed it so much! Please bring something for show-n-tell to share your talent. Looking forward to our program Thursday night where Elsie will be sharing a technique to making a quilt that you will all enjoy! You know you have a rookie when you asked me to be your President, so strap on your seat belts, it's going to be a crazy ride!!!😃

President Karol opened meeting at 6:35 PM.
Treasurer Elsie reported the prior balance $1033.80. Quilt show expenses were $46.80. Present Balance is $987.00.
Motion to accept - Renee & Valerie
Secretary's report was accepted with additions & corrections by Valerie & Elsie.
COMMITTEES;
Blog Site- Valerie- All is going smoothly.you may comment & access forms.
Unfinished Projects- Jessie- Only Jessie reported completed projects & won for 2014.! Members turned in lists of itemised entries but timed out.
Just Do It- Pam- 101 completed blocks were turned in.
Charity Quilts- Merlene & Elsie- Request was made to members to please, with right sides together cut out teddy bears via the pattern with pinking shears or regular sissors, leaving enough fabric edge to not allow the seam to pull free (pull out). Clip where marked via pattern. turn right side out, press. Now they are ready to stuff by us & the public at the Giving Quilt Show Saturday Feb. 7, at the Lamar Dixon Center in Gonzales. We will do this Saturday only. Please come help our Guild service those who want to stuff the bears. There will be many quilts on display, door prizes, raffle quilt, quilt vendors etc. This show is held every two years & is a destination close to home for quilters.
Pull Tabs for Ronald McDonald House in New Orleans- Betty- Made delivery & the staff was appreciative. Please continue to collect the aluminum pull tabs.
Door Prizes- Pam for Sharon - winners were Pam(who provided on
